DualChain
DualChain - Whitepaper 2025
Introduction
DualChain pioneers a transformative approach in Decentralised Finance (DeFi), empowering users to simultaneously trade digital assets while directly supporting verifiable, high-impact carbon removal and land regeneration projects. Established in 2021, DualChain uniquely merges decentralised trading with real-world impact, championing global climate action, anti-famine initiatives, and rewarding community-driven contributions.
Demonstrating early credibility and recognition, DualChain secured an endorsement from Malawi’s Ministry of Education (2022), earned inclusion in the Keeling Curve Prize funding database (2023), and participated in events with Shell StartUp Engine UK (2024).
User Benefits
DualChain fundamentally reshapes user incentives in trading by redirecting transaction commissions away from corporate profits and toward user-selected impact-driven projects. Each transaction directly contributes to measurable outcomes, tracked transparently on users’ profiles.
Project Biochar exemplifies this model, with trading commissions used to apply biochar to degraded land in Malawi. This both supports carbon removal and the rejuvenation of infertile land, helping to tackle atmospheric emissions and regional famine. Specific project stages and expansions will be activated upon achieving specific funding milestones, with user and project metrics provided.
Looking forward, DualChain seeks to incorporate a Carbon Dividend based on users’ platform activity. Incentivising community involvement will be a key element to the platform, with transparent airdrops received based on individual Impact Scores.
DUAL Token
DualChain plans to launch the DUAL token upon achieving milestone trading volumes, which will serve as the core utility token of the platform and accessible to trade by the public. The asset is currently in development and will be designed on a deflationary basis, removing investors’ risk of dilution and enhancing token scarcity.
DEX Overview
The DualChain Decentralised Exchange (DEX) introduces a groundbreaking framework, linking asset trading directly to meaningful social and environmental impact. Diverging from traditional models, DualChain transparently channels transaction fees into community-chosen, verifiable impact initiatives.
Utilising Automated Market Making protocols similar to those established by leading platforms, the DualChain DEX ensures efficient liquidity, fair pricing, and seamless peer-to-peer transactions without intermediaries. Real-time, on-chain impact tracking allows user visibility into the tangible outcomes of their trading, enhancing user trust and incorporation.
To optimise trade execution and user experience, DualChain integrates proven DEX aggregators, including 1inch and 0x, securing competitive pricing, reducing slippage, and maximising reliability.
